YULCHON

Intellectual Property

Introduction

Yulchon’s Intellectual Property Group offers comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of the protection and exploitation of intellectual property.  The team consists of some of the most experienced intellectual property attorneys in Korea, including former Patent Court judges, as well as foreign-licensed IP attorneys with extensive international experience.

With the recent addition of several highly experienced professionals in the IP group, Yulchon is able to handle virtually any intellectual property-related issue.

Yulchon’s IP practice is particularly strong in the field of patent litigation  and patent transactions. Several of the partners in the IP Group, including Young Hill Liew, Jeong Yeol Choe, and Cheol Hwan Kim, served as judges at patent-related courts in Korea and gained in-depth patent expertise. Our partners have unparalleled levels of experience and knowledge.

Yulchon’s IP Group also has expertise in managing global intellectual property litigation. For example, Yulchon’s IP team, led by Young Hill Liew, successfully defended LG Electronics in a Korean patent infringement action filed by Philips, which ultimately led to a global settlement of all related patent infringement actions filed in other countries.
